It's crazy it took me this long to find this place. Their Tortas are excellent. Carne Asada plate is delicious. The shareable sizzling Molcajete Enchilado is great. But my favorite is the Kiko's plate. Love the hacienda courtyard vibe of the interior. I brought 3 groups of friends after I discovered this place and they all love it here. P.S. the Mangonada Margarita is expensive, but totally worth it. I might ask a couple of extra shots of tequila in it next time though.

Hubby and I stopped in for lunch while on this side of town. I'd heard about it and it was Dec on our must try list. When we stepped in the door it was filled with bright colors and decor and a delicious home cooked smell. I got the enchilada a chilis rellano and they both were so fresh and delicious. Hubby had a chorizo burrito and it's was huge and have great flavors. Our server was super sweet and helpful . Definitely will return for the amazing margaritas.

I research this place for I read this authentic Mexican restaurant theme was from the comedy show, "Chavo" This is worth the trip by car or bus to this original downtown plaza here today Las Vegas where it used to be busy in the old days. This center also has the famous Vickie's Diner at the entrance. This main restaurant is located in the far back of the big outdoor open air plaza. Use your Google maps to find it. People may get confused at the entrance is their colorful bar building opens later in the day. There is a green and white beetle car with a sign post point which direction is the main restaurant. Owners, Vanessa Barreat and her husband, Raúl Martinez started back in 2016 in a food stand. best known for our SUPER TORTA CUBANA and our amazing CAFE DE OLLA. LA VECINDAD Pico de Gallo. Food and Aguas Frescas are made from scratch and they were featured in a Food Paradise episode by cooking Channel, "Get in my Deli". The decoration, the paintings, and every detail was created by its owners which is pretty impressive family run business. Walking into this restaurant reminded me of my time in Mexico City and Guadalajara with the decorations with big groups of people at the tables. Very colorful restaurant. Lots of selections on the menu was hard to decide what to eat. I missed sweet mole pollo chicken so I got that and the popular cafe de olla which I took it to go because I forgot to order it with my meal. Relaxing settings when food arrived we all enjoyed our meals. I loved my mole chicken. Yummy in my tummy. Not many places make the mole sweet. I was sure if I was going to order the red or green sauce. My serve came back bring me samples of each to make sure I would order the correct dish. What a nice lady server. Back in SF Bay Area restaurants and people are all about spice. I rather taste my food and not get burned by it. lol All in all, if lived in this area, I would be a regular. Outside of the restaurants were large groups of family which I think they were waiting for the big private room section of the restaurant to accommodate them. Outside has the cut out of the characters from the adult tv show which is cute for the photo opportunities. Yes I would come back when I am in town again.

Ok, this restaurant has an interesting decor inside & out but, it's cute. The service was friendly & efficient. The chips & salsa were good. For the salsa lovers, they had 4 kinds. None of them are chunky but, all of them have great flavor & spice. I had the carnitas & my husband had Flautas. The beans were home made & delicious. We enjoyed both our meals. We'll definitely go back. I think it would be a fun place to bring visitors. There is a La Vecindad Cantina in the same parking lot/different building so don't get confused.

Wow I'm amazed by this place, this place brought me back to my childhood when I used to watch el Chavo del 8. Their food is also amazing! The queso fundido was giving to you flambed and with a side of handmade corn tortillas, so good made you lick your fingers. The torta de chilaquiles was huge, but those chilaquiles were spicy, still really good. Burrito de chile relleno was different something I've never had, but again it was pretty tasty. Even the sopa de fideo, not much to it, but the flavor was there. Kiko's plate was also good, the meat was nice and tender and it also came with handmade corn tortillas. Not only is this place such a vibe, but the food is bomb. It does take a while for the food to come, but it's worth it you can tell they put a lot of pride into their dishes. Next time I'm in Vegas I'm hitting this spot again!
